Like many of its neighbours on this reach, it is a low, tree-lined island with private homes, reached from the Wraysbury side. Islands in the Thames are called aits or eyots, from the Old English for a small island.

More about The Island

The reach between Old Windsor and Staines is dotted with small inhabited eyots, many of them first built on as holiday homes in the early 20th century.
